Whistleblowing
We strive to continuously improve and prevent serious misconduct from occurring in our organisation. We encourage the active identification and reporting of any wrongdoing or shortcomings within the organisation. Raising the alarm on such issues is important to us as it helps us to maintain a high level of business ethics and ensure that we act in accordance with our core values.
When should the whistleblowing function be used?
This function should be used if you suspect that serious irregularities are taking place in your organisation. An irregularity can be, for example:
- bribe
- deception
- embezzlement
- theft, corruption
- offences against the law or serious breaches of internal rules and guidelines in the service
- or other comparable abuses
The reporter must, at the time of reporting the misconduct, have reasonable grounds to believe that the information about the misconduct is true.
Who can report?
It is not only you as an employee who has the right to whistleblow. If you belong to one of the following categories of persons, you also have the right to whistleblow and have therefore also been informed of our whistleblowing procedures:
- If you are making an enquiry or applying for a job with us
- If you apply or volunteer with us
- If you are applying for or completing a traineeship with us
- You who are otherwise available to perform or carry out work under our control and direction
- If you are self-employed and you apply for or carry out assignments for us
- If you are available to join or are part of an administrative, management or supervisory body of a company with us
- If you belong to one of the above categories of persons and have received or obtained the information during your time in our organisation
Who can be notified?
The person reported should be in a senior or key position within the company, for example a senior manager or a person responsible for major purchases or other business-critical functions.
When should the function not be used?
It is not intended for more general comments on, for example, management, work environment or organisational planning. It is also not suitable for reporting sensitive personnel issues that concern single individuals. Such matters should instead be dealt with within the organisation. Please contact info@scanmast.com to be connected to the right person responsible for the case.
