They cover transport damage as well as material, design and production defects.<\/p><p class=\"p3\"><b>1. complaints on delivery<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\"><b>1.1 Arrival control<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">On delivery, you should check with the driver that:<\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li3\">the goods are undamaged<\/li><li class=\"li3\">the number of packages matches the consignment note<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"p3\">If there is transport damage, visible damage to the packaging or missing packages, this must be reported directly to the driver <b>before receipt<\/b>. The driver then makes a written note on the waybill or in the handheld computer.<\/p><p class=\"p3\"><b>1.2 Contact within 7 days<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">Regardless of whether damage is noted at delivery, all goods must be checked within <b>7 calendar days<\/b>.<br \/>If you discover damage or deviations, you must contact Scanmast within the same time frame. After receiving the notification, we will initiate a case against the freight forwarder if necessary.<\/p><p class=\"p3\"><b>2. claims for defects in materials, design and workmanship<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">Complaints that do not relate to transport damage, but concern the function or quality of the product, are treated as material and design issues and may be covered by warranty.<\/p><p class=\"p3\"><b>2.1 What can be grounds for a complaint<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">Examples of errors that may be covered:<\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li3\">material defects<\/li><li class=\"li3\">design or manufacturing defects<\/li><li class=\"li3\">faults that occur during normal use according to Scanmast specifications<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"p3\"><b>2.2 How to make a complaint<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">For fast processing, please include the following information:<\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li3\">item number and order number<\/li><li class=\"li3\">description of the fault and how it manifests itself<\/li><li class=\"li3\">installation date and area of use<\/li><li class=\"li3\">pictures or videos that clearly show the fault<\/li><li class=\"li3\">any drawings or records that are relevant<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"p3\">Use the form on our website to report the anomaly.<\/p><p class=\"p3\"><b>2.3 Requirements for correct use<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">Complaints cannot be accepted if the fault is due to:<\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li3\">incorrect installation or deviation from Scanmaster manuals and drawings<\/li><li class=\"li3\">modification of the product<\/li><li class=\"li3\">insufficient maintenance<\/li><li class=\"li3\">improper storage or handling before installation<\/li><li class=\"li3\">external influences such as extreme weather conditions, traffic, collision, vandalism, etc.<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"p3\"><b>3. Assessment and measures<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">Once we receive your documentation, we will make a technical assessment. In some cases, we may need to physically examine the product or carry out a site visit.<\/p><p class=\"p3\">Possible actions could be:<\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li3\">repair of a product<\/li><li class=\"li3\">replacement product<\/li><li class=\"li3\">credit invoice<\/li><li class=\"li3\">rejection if the fault is not considered to be grounds for complaint<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"p3\">Any site visits may be charged if the fault is not covered by warranty or right of complaint.<\/p><p class=\"p3\"><b>4. Limitations and exceptions<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p3\">The following are not normally covered:<\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li3\">normal wear and tear<\/li><li class=\"li3\">damage caused by environmental conditions outside the product specification<\/li><li class=\"li3\">corrosion caused by improper handling or storage before installation<\/li><li class=\"li3\">specialised products without specific agreement<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"p3\"><b>5.
